Hollow plastic balls are mainly used in petrochemical industry as they float. In swimming pools, they limit evaporation and protect from air or sun, they are also able to contain emanation and to keep the heat.
They reduce heat loss up to 75%, evaporation up to 87% and air pollution up to 98%.
Hollow plastic balls can be manufactured in polypropylen (PP), low density polyethylen (PEBD) , high density polyethylen (PEHD) or in vinyliden polyfluor (PVDF).
These balls are made from two heated half spheres which are not grinded. Thickness of the ball varies from 0.70 to 1.20 mm.
