Steel and stainless steel precision balls applications are limitless (bearings, control balls, screw balls, runner balls…).

Raw materials

Please find below a table stating characteristics of the main steels and stainless steels used in balls manufacturing but we can answer specific demands subject to minimum production quantity. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

Standard diameters

As for all industrial precision balls, the steel and stainless steel precision balls are defined by their nominal diameter, the raw material from which they are produced, as well as their level of precision.
We propose a large range of standard diameters, expressed both in metric measures and in inches. However please contact us if you need non-standard precision balls as we are able to offer competitive prices and short lead time for such special requirements.

Tolerances

The metal balls can be produced from different standards. The most common standards are the following :

– DIN 5401 standard (the German standardization system)
– ANSI/ABMA standard (the American standardization system)
– ISO 3290 standard (the European standardization system)

No matter what standard is used, the essential control points are the same because all standards have equivalences.
